Third Plane uses the Mephisto family of 3D scanners developed by 3DDynamics.
The Mephisto range of 3D Scanner use a combination of Gray Code and digital fringe shifting technology. Binary patterns of the Gray Code are used to index the projector and camera image pixels, while phase shifting produces high precision sub-pixel accuracy without ambiguities.
This combination is one of the most robust and reliable structured light 3D Scanning methods and 3DDynamics technology pushes the results to the limits of quality and flexibility.
